Tell us about yourself and why you enjoy serving on the HWOI Leadership Committee.

I love serving on the HWOI Leadership Committee because this is a group that empowers women to be strong leaders and voices in our global community. I was a biology major at Notre Dame and went on to medical school. I practiced as an emergency medicine physician before transitioning to a chief medical officer role. Growing future leaders and mentoring are personal priorities.

What is one thing you would want to tell your younger self? If you could offer a piece of advice to women today in the form of a quote, what quote would you share?

Life’s path is not straight. We are always where we are supposed to be on the path–we may just not understand why at the time.

Why is supporting Notre Dame important to you?

It is important to me to support and give back to Notre Dame because of the opportunities that were given to me as a student. I was able to do research as an undergraduate. This experience was critical in my discernment process of deciding to go to medical school. I want the next generations of students to have the same opportunity to learn and explore new pathways.
