Tell us about yourself and why you enjoy serving on the HWOI Leadership Committee.
I grew up and have lived most of my life in NY. I lived for a short time in Seattle and am currently preparing a move south to Charleston. I have worked most of my career in a fourth generation family construction business. I am married with a son who is sophomore at Notre Dame and a daughter who is senior in high school. I enjoy serving on the HWOI Leadership Committee because it keeps me connected to Notre Dame. I love being surrounded by women who also share a love of Notre Dame. I enjoy being able to give back to a place that has given me so much.
What is one thing you would want to tell your younger self? If you could offer a piece of advice to women today in the form of a quote, what quote would you share?
Enjoy all the phases. Don’t rush through any of them. There will be days your career takes a front seat and days it has to take a back seat. There will be days your family takes the front seat and days you feel like you are letting them down. In the end it will work itself out even if at the time it doesn’t feel like it.
Why is supporting Notre Dame important to you?
From the first time I stepped on campus, Notre Dame felt like home. I support Notre Dame because it is important for me to give back to a place that has given me so much. I hope to help other students feel what I felt that very first day.
