Tell us about yourself and why you enjoy serving on the HWOI Leadership Committee.

I have had the privilege of serving as Chairwoman and CEO of Vanir since 2004, continuing the legacy of my late father, who founded the company in 1964. Under my leadership, Vanir has grown into a nationally recognized leader in program, project, and construction management, as well as real estate development, delivering exceptional value to clients nationwide.

I serve on two corporate boards, kb home and Douglas Emmett Inc. (DEI). My service on kb home allows me to contribute to initiatives that empower first-time homebuyers in achieving the American Dream of homeownership.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a committed advocate for community engagement and a passionate sports enthusiast. In 2013, I played a key role in the governing group that successfully acquired the Sacramento Kings, making history as the first Latina to achieve NBA governor status.

I am honored to serve on the HWOI Leadership Committee, where I have the privilege of collaborating with a group of inspirational women who exemplify integrity. Being surrounded by like-minded individuals who are deeply committed to their community and making a meaningful impact is truly rewarding. I am proud to be part of such a dedicated and empowering network.

What is one thing you would want to tell your younger self? If you could offer a piece of advice to women today in the form of a quote, what quote would you share?
